lisbon-paris snack. fruit cup, roll, candy, cheese, peppers, corn, and something that wasn't too good. i don't remember what it was and i ate less of it.
dinner at the CDG sheraton. i must say it was a nice way to spend the 10hr layover. we arrived at terminal D and en route to our exit terminal E one walks past the sheraton. so we chose wisely.
eating options weren't too great. the room/hotel services menu wasn't as up to date as the actual hotel so we copped a squat in the bar and ordered a
** 21euro ** burger.
home made king size beef, cheese and bacon hamburger served with french fries (and salad).
amuse bouche
tomato and goat cheese mousse
this was amazingly yummy!

roll and salad
smoked breast of duck, lentil and scallop timbale, chanterelle mushroom and beaufort cheese salad, oven dried tomato, arugula
the purple thing up top was the duck. both it and the scallop timbale was served cold. the scallops were ok, but the lentils got a bit overpowering.

sauteed bay scallops, spiced cream sauce with cashews, basmati rice with almonds, carrot and watercress puree.
the carrot and watercress thing was, well, interesting. the scallops were pretty good, but a bit tough. but considering this was airplane food it was pretty good

pan-seared hanger steak, onion cream sauce, vegetable saute with pesto, sauteed chanterelle mushrooms.
matt said this was tasty, but the mushrooms sure looked like they met death.
our cheese plate: camembert and sainte-maure
desserts:
the sorbet was some 'common flavor' one might find in a pantry but i did not like it.
the plate, from right to left: carmelized apple tart, milk chocolate puff pastry with dark chocolate, pistachio biscuit brochette with raspberry jelly.

the gourmet snack. i was finally awake for one of these. it was a chilled punch-like with bits of apple in it i think.
roll,
our appetizer: fillet of smoked salmon and zuchinni marinated in olive oil
our dessert: baked apple with caramel, raspberry coulis
sauteed shrimp with honey and ginger, linguine pasta with seafood sauce.
again, it was surprisingly good. i have to admit i teased to matt that if i get food poisoning we know it was 1 of these 3 dishes...
duck with coriander, mashed potatoes with chives, grated parmesan cheese
