8/8/2010 Charleston's FT Worth TX

matt and i made it to ft. worth and it was blasted hot. but we were there to visit friends and family and that's just what we did this sunday night.

my friend from high school andrea met us at this place on south hulen for dinner. it was ok. i got the impression it was a bennigan's trying to lure the upscale yuppie crowd. the decor was a little more western as opposed to flair-chic, and the lights were so low you really couldn't see anything. a grown-up bennigan's might be a better way to put it. i wouldn't take my children here unless they were very well behaved, but you'd expect to see them at the other.

anyway, dinner was a little overpriced i think for what you get, but the food was good.

andrea had the salmon caesar salad. (at least i think that's what she had) hopefully she'll correct me if i'm wrong.

matt had the blackened talapia with vegetables

he said the fish was actually really good but the veges were overcooked.

i had the cheeseburger. it was cooked to order properly and the fries were good. but it was a burger.

my friend andrea and me after dinner. -i stole her hat for the photo. she looks real good, i'm so proud of her!

This place looks like my kind of place. I think it's hilarious that there is a restaurant called "Charleston's" in Fort Worth. FYI: there are as yet none here called "Fort Worth" hahaha!
